Personal Inspiration:
The journey into home care for me was deeply personal. My father-in-law’s experience with a quadruple bypass, and the exceptional care he received during his recovery, left a profound impact on me. His passing in 2022, followed closely by the loss of my wife, solidified my commitment to providing compassionate care for those in need.
Values and Beliefs:
Rooted in my faith and belief in God, I am driven by a desire to serve, particularly the elderly and those with special needs. It’s more than a business; it’s a calling to assist those in similar situations, enhancing their lives through the services our agency offers.
Life Changing Moment:
A pivotal moment came during a conversation about potential business ventures with Leo. The topic of home care surfaced, connecting back to my father-in-law’s experience. This conversation was the catalyst for the birth of True Touch Home Care.
Personal Challenges:
Surviving a brain aneurysm in 2011 and enduring the loss of my beloved wife have been monumental challenges. These experiences, while incredibly difficult, have fortified my resilience. I’ve learned that in every challenge lies a solution, and this mindset fuels my approach to leading our home care agency.
Vision of Success:
For me, success is twofold: seeing True Touch Home Care operate seamlessly, independently of our direct involvement, and knowing we’re making a real difference. Success means providing employment opportunities for caregivers and delivering exceptional care to our clients.

My inspiration in life and in founding True Touch Home Care comes from a deep connection with my grandfather. He affectionately called me “Jake,” a name far from my own, but one that symbolized our unique bond. Even as Alzheimer’s affected him, he never forgot me, a testament to our special relationship. Witnessing the challenges he faced, and the critical role of caregiving in his life, profoundly impacted my perspective on the importance of compassionate care.
Values and Beliefs:
I firmly believe that every individual is a unique creation, embodying inherent value and importance. This belief shapes our approach at True Touch Home Care, where we strive to see and treat each person as irreplaceably valuable. Our caregivers are the embodiment of this philosophy, providing care that recognizes the individuality and dignity of each client.
Life-Changing Moments:
Starting an adult family home in Washington state opened my eyes to the often heartbreaking realities faced by residents. Many sacrifice their homes and assets for care, only to find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings, isolated from family. This experience was a pivotal moment, fueling my commitment to improving the quality of care and the lives of those we serve.
Personal Challenges:
Life has been a series of transitions for me, from moving schools frequently during my childhood to changing careers as an adult. These experiences, including being named Mr. Dependable at graduation, have taught me adaptability, resilience, and the ability to connect with people quickly. These skills have been invaluable in my journey from accounting to information technology, and now in the realm of home care.
